Floor Refinishing 5

WHAT IS YOUR PROCESS?

Cabinet Refresh comes in between 8:00 and 8:30 on Day 1 and begins to protect your space by masking all work areas and floors. After that, we will begin to remove hardware, drawers and/or drawer fronts, doors, pull-outs, and perform the required demolitionIF APPLICABLE. We typically take the doors and drawers to our shop near USC to refinish, while we work on your frames/cabinet boxes on site, prepping and refinishing the frames to match the doors and drawer fronts. When the on-site work is finished we return for an additional day or two to re-install the new doors, drawers, and any other pull-out shelves or modifications.

HOW LONG WILL THE JOB TAKE?

The standard job takes one week, including Day 1 as described above. Days 2 to 3 we are continuing prep and priming of the frames in-home and the doors/drawers in the shop. Days 3 to 4, we are painting and then installing the doors, drawers, pull-outs, etc., on Days 4 to 5.

WILL I BE ABLE TO USE MY KITCHEN?

Please plan not to use your kitchen during the day when we are there. We will leave the sink, stove, and refrigerator areas accessible for your use at night and over the weekends if applicable.

STAIN: Use a water-damp rag. If the surface requires deep cleaning due to grease or grime build-up, add a speck of a strong dish detergent, such as Dawn or a bit of vinegar to your damp rag.If a deeper cleaning needed, use “General Finishes Orange Oil”. Avoid using oil-soap or silicone-based daily cleaners or dusting sprays. These products and the chemicals in other cleaners can contaminate your finish, preventing adhesion of future finishes.
